Privacy Policy
What information Texnav collects, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We don't sell your personal information.

1.Who this covers
This policy covers texnav.com, our apps for businesses and the Texnav community. It applies to three kinds of people:
- Business members: businesses that use Texnav apps, and their staff.
- Their customers: people who book, buy, pay, message or leave a review with a business on Texnav.
- Community members and visitors: people with a free personal account, and anyone browsing.
A business's own website on Texnav may add its own tools and have its own privacy policy. That business is responsible for it.
2.What we collect
What you give us:
- Account details: name, email, phone and, for businesses, business name, address, hours, services, photos, logo and colors.
- Free personal account: your first name, email, and anything you add, like a photo. If you ask for a pro, your ZIP code, so we can find businesses near you (never your street address).
- What you post: reviews, replies, updates, comments and messages.
- Booking and purchase details: what you booked or bought, when, notes you add, and how to reach you.
- Payments: cards are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number, only details like the card brand, last 4 digits and expiry date. When you pay, or connect a business to Stripe, Stripe gets those details and handles them under Stripe's Privacy Policy.
- If you use Continue with Google: your name, email address and profile picture from Google, and nothing else. We never see your Google password or contacts.
- Who invited you, if you joined from a friend's invite link, so you start as friends.
- Ways to pay you that you save (like your Zelle phone or email, or your Venmo name). Only the people you send them to in a chat, or your customers on your invoices, see them.
- For sale posts you make: the words, photos, price and town you add.
What we collect automatically: your IP address, browser and device type, pages you visit, when, the page that sent you, and an approximate location based on your IP. We also use cookies (see below).
What we get from others: Stripe (payment status), Google (your Business Profile and reviews, if you connect them), a directory or agency you joined through, and phones you allow to get alerts.
3.How we use it
- To run Texnav: your account, sign-in codes, your website and pages, bookings, payments, reviews and follows.
- To send messages you or a business asked for, like confirmations, reminders, receipts, review requests and alerts.
- To keep Texnav safe: stopping spam, fake accounts and fake reviews (for example, we check posts for blocked words and throwaway email addresses), and preventing fraud.
- To help you when you contact support, and to fix and improve Texnav.
- To tell you about Texnav. You can unsubscribe from these emails any time; account and booking messages still come.
- To follow the law and protect the rights and safety of people and Texnav.
4.If you're a customer of a business on Texnav
When you book, buy or message a business through Texnav, that business decides what it does with your information. Texnav handles it on the business's behalf. For questions or requests about that information, contact the business, or email us and we'll help. We don't sell your information or use it to market our own products to you.
5.What other people can see
- Business pages and what businesses post there are public.
- Reviews you write are public, with your first name and your picture if you have one, and may show up in search engines. Your email is never shown.
- Businesses can see who follows them. Other people see only the number of followers.
- "Looking for a pro" requests show your first name and town (never your ZIP code or address) to the businesses they go to and to other signed-in Texnav members. They are not in search engines.
Think before posting personal details in a review or post.
8.Your choices
- See and change your details in your account, or email us.
- Delete: you can delete your reviews and posts. To delete your account and its data, send us a message through our contact page. We may keep some records the law requires, like billing records.
- Emails: use the unsubscribe link in a marketing email, or email us to stop them.
- Texts: reply STOP to stop texts from a business.
- Phone and computer alerts: turn them off in your browser or phone settings, or in Texnav.
Depending on where you live, you may have more rights, like asking for a copy of your information. Send us a message through our contact page and we'll help. We won't treat you differently for asking.
9.How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account is open and for as long as we need it to run Texnav. After that, we delete it within a reasonable time, except what the law requires us to keep (like billing records) and short-lived backups.
10.How we protect it
We use encryption (https) everywhere, keep secret keys locked away, store sign-in codes only in a scrambled form that can't be read back, and limit who on our team can see your information. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong email password and keep your sign-in codes to yourself.
11.Children and teens
Texnav is only for people 18 and older. It isn't made for children or teens, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that someone under 18 has an account, we close it and delete their information. If you think a child or teen gave us information, send us a message through our contact page and we'll delete it.
12.Where your information is kept
Texnav is run in the United States, and your information is stored and handled in the U.S. If you use Texnav from another country, your information comes to the U.S.
13.Changes to this policy
We may update this policy and will post the new version here with a new date. For important changes we'll also tell account holders by email or in their account.
