Community Rules

The Texnav community works when people can trust what they read. These rules apply to everyone: reviewers, followers and businesses.

Last updated October 16, 2026

1.Reviews: honest and firsthand

  • Review only businesses you actually dealt with, and say what really happened.
  • One review per business per person. You can edit or delete yours any time.
  • Stick to your experience with the business: the work, the service, the price, the result.
  • Criticism is welcome. Insults, threats and personal attacks aren't.

2.No fake or paid reviews

  • Businesses may not review themselves, their competitors, or businesses they're connected to.
  • No paying for reviews, and no discounts, gifts or contests in exchange for them. Asking every customer for an honest review is fine. Asking only happy customers is not.
  • No reviews written by family, friends or staff pretending to be customers.
  • No threatening or pressuring someone to change or remove a review.

Businesses can't pay to change or remove reviews, and they can't pick which ones show on their community page.

3.Be respectful

  • No hate, harassment, bullying, threats or violence.
  • No sexual content, swearing or slurs. Texnav blocks many of these words automatically.
  • No discrimination based on race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age or where someone is from.

4.Keep private things private

Don't post anyone's home address, phone number, email, license plate, ID, or financial or health details, including your own. Don't share photos of people who didn't agree to it.

5.Be real

  • Use your real first name. Don't pretend to be someone else, or to be from a business you aren't from.
  • No spam, ads or links to unrelated sites in reviews or comments.
  • No throwaway or duplicate accounts to get around these rules.

6.For businesses

  • Keep your page true: real photos of your own work, real prices, real hours, and only certifications you really have.
  • Reply to reviews politely, good or bad. Thank people, and answer questions or complaints without sharing the customer's private details.
  • Updates and specials must be real offers you'll honor.
  • Report a review if it breaks these rules. Don't argue with the reviewer in public.

7.Selling your own things

  • Sell only things that are yours and legal to sell. No weapons, drugs, alcohol, tobacco or vapes, medicine, animals, recalled items, stolen goods, fakes or anything adults-only.
  • Describe it honestly, with your own photos and the real price. Mark it sold when it's gone.
  • Never ask someone to pay before they've seen the item, and never ask for gift cards, crypto or a "deposit to hold it".
  • Meet in a public place. Texnav doesn't hold the money and can't get it back, so check before you pay (see Payments and sales between members).
  • Up to 5 things for sale at a time. Businesses use their business page and updates instead.

8.Reporting and what we do

  • Businesses can report a review from their back office (Community page, then Reviews). Anyone can report a problem through our contact page.
  • Texnav reviews every report. We remove reviews and posts that break these rules and leave up the ones that don't, even if they're negative.
  • Breaking the rules can mean removed content, a paused account, or a closed account. Serious or repeated problems may lose access for good.

9.Plus our terms

These rules are part of our Terms of Use, and our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information. Questions? Send us a message through our contact page.
